All services provided by HostComet may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data, or material in violation of any law is prohibited. The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless HostComet from any claims resulting from the use of the service which damages the user or any other party.

Copyright Violations
HostComet will respond to all reports of infringement that are formatted in accordance with the DMCA Act and any other applicable copyright laws. Notices of infringement that do not comply with this act will not be processed. We will act in accordance with the DMCA when handling infringement reports.
Server Resource Usage
If HostComet's system administration team determines that an account is utilizing an unacceptable amount of system resources, HostComet may temporarily deactivate the account in question. If HostComet's staff deems it necessary, an eviction notice may be sent to the customer of an offending account providing them with seven(7) days in which to either upgrade to another hosting solution as recommended by HostComet staff. This only occurs in extreme cases; HostComet will do all it can to assist customers prior to this scenario.
As we are using CloudLinux OS to safeguard each account by isolating them all our shared hosting accounts are limited to a certain level of resources.
Following are our CloudLinux resource limits for cPanel shared hosting accounts:
Our FTP shared hosting accounts (i.e Lite Plan) will share the above CloudLinux resource limits. A maximum of 10 Lite shared hosting accounts will share the above resources.
Database Restrictions
The MySQL Max User Connections is restricted to 30 and MySQL Max Connections is restricted to 350.
Database queries should not exceed 3000 per hour. Database changes (insert/update/delete) should not exceed 1000 queries per hour.
Database servers should not be used as a hosted solution. Database access should only be used for the website hosted by HostComet.
Remote database access is permissible only for administrative purposes.
Files and Directories
A single log file size should not exceed the plan storage limit or 1 GB. And the total size of all similar log files should not exceed 5 GB in size.
A directory can not contain more than 2500 immediate child files. This includes sub-directories themselves but does not include files contained within those directories.
Cron Jobs
The minimum Cron Job Interval for all our shared web hosting plans is 30 minutes i.e A cron job should not execute more frequently than once every 30 minutes.
Email Accounts
We do not offer free email service / email accounts with any of our hosting plans. You may use professional email services like Google WorkSpace for email hosting.
Backups
HostComet performs daily backups of Shared Hosting accounts with a Retention Period of the 30 Days; however, these backups are for HostComet's administrative purposes only, and are in NO WAY GUARANTEED! Customers are responsible for maintaining their own backups on their own personal computers. HostComet does not provide any sort of compensation for lost or incomplete data if backups do not function properly (even if the malfunction was due to negligence on HostComet's part). We will do our best to ensure complete and accurate backups but assume no responsibility for this duty. Always back your site up to your personal computer! We make no guarantees about the availability of backups.
Our primary backup system relies solely on JetBackup. We do not utilize the default cPanel backup system to generate account backups. You have the privilege to generate a manual backup of your entire account at any given time through JetBackup. Should you wish our team to manually generate a cPanel backup, be advised that such requests will incur a fee. Before initiating such a request, we recommend consulting with our Billing department to obtain a precise price quote.
You may not use your hosting account as a backup solution. Our Services are designed to host your website only and may not be used as a data repository. HostComet reserves the right to remove backups from your hosting account with or without notice.
We may also delete the following types of files if we find them to be using excessive amounts of disk space, especially if affecting other customers: (i) cPanel or other backups stored locally, (ii) Softaculous backups stored locally, (iii) Softaculous backup temp files, (iv) Common CMS backups stored locally, (v) Common CMS backup temp files, (vi) Common CMS backup logs, (vii) excessively sized error logs, and (viii) any other large files deemed unnecessary for core website functionality or not containing any valuable data. cPanel-generated backups stored on the server will be automatically deleted after fourteen (14) days.
While our backup system supports almost any characters for filenames (UTF-8), some special characters/symbols are generally best avoided as there are specific limitations across various filesystems and storage destinations that can cause unintended issues with your backups. This list is not exhaustive and is meant to help determine and avoid errors regarding filenames and your backups.

While our backup system generally performs backups for any files or folders, there are exceptions of files and folders that are excluded as there are specific limitations across various filesystems and storage destinations that can cause unintended issues with your backups. Account Activation
Please note that accounts for web presence products like domain names, shared web hosting, and business email will be set up within a few hours from the time of payment completion. As we strive to maintain the highest quality of service standards we allow only genuine customers to onboard our services so near-instant account activations this is not always possible. Hope you understand our concern.
Money Back Guarantee:
All shared web hosting clients (expect those who purchased Lite plan) are entitled to a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you wish to cancel your account within 30 days of your purchase then you contact us and receive a full refund. This guarantee includes only shared web hosting plans and does not include Domain names, Business emails, Lite shared hosting or any Other services.
Cancellation
Cancellations are available only for new shared web hosting accounts that are less than 30 days. New orders placed for Domain names, Business emails, or any Other services cannot be canceled. If we found any fraudulent activity with your account we reserve full right to cancel your order.
Refunds
Only new accounts are eligible for a refund. Refunds only apply to the money-back guarantee. There are no refunds on domain names, business emails, lite hosting, other services, support or install fees. Account renewals and recurring payments after the money-back guarantee period are non-refundable.
Terms of Service Violation Actions
Failure to fully comply with these terms of service is grounds for account suspension and/or termination. We reserve the right to remove any account without prior notice.
Changes to Pricing
HostComet reserves the right to change prices or any other charges at any time. We will provide you with at least 30 days notice before charging you with any price change on any annual or longer-term plans. It is your sole responsibility to periodically review pricing on our website and billing information provided by HostComet through the client area or through other methods of communication, including notices sent or posted by HostComet.
Disclaimer
We are not responsible for any claims resulting from the use of our service. We are not responsible for any damages your business may suffer. We make no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for any services. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions regardless of cause. The client acknowledges that the service provided is of such a nature that service can be interrupted for many reasons. Therefore, the customer/client agrees that the company shall not be liable for any damages, or loss.
Changes to Terms of Service
We reserve the right to revise, amend, or modify these terms of service at any time and in any manner without notice. If any terms of service are failed to be followed the account in question will be automatically suspended. We suggest each user review the website and the terms of service periodically to learn of any revisions. It is the end user's responsibility to be aware of the latest terms of service at all times. Your continued use of HostComet after the effectiveness of such revisions will constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of the terms of the revised Terms of Service. We will never significantly change our policies and practices to make them less protective of customers.
